Music Video preproduction
Music Video
Director/Producer: Leah Lovan
Director of Photography: Bailey Miller
Editor: Jentry Binder
Song: This Small Town by Scott Jacobs from Free Music Archive (http://freemusicarchive.org/)
About Singer: Scott Jacobs is a 22 year old Canadian Singer-Songwriter from Nanaimo, British Columbia. He has studied music at Vancouver Island University and graduated with a Diploma in Jazz Studies. Scott has also performed all over the world as a musician for various cruise lines. He has released two albums of original music entitled “Reflection of our Lives”, and “This Small Town”.
Genre: Country, Songwriter, American
Target: young adults
Tagline: A Small Town is A Home Town
Concept: Showing off the small town of Goshen.
Treatment: Home Travel Video with stop and goes.
Talent: Ask random people around town if they are willing to be in our video or we will be in the video.
Schedule: We will most likely be shooting on Fridays and Saturdays; however, with changing work schedules times will have to be established on spur of the moments. It would be best to get as many shots as possible the first and second weekend (September 30- October 1 and October 7-8). We will need camera and possibly our lighting. We want to especially get shots of the café and record store in Goshen. All shots will be in Goshen. Editing can start after that to give enough time for Jentry to edit and reshoot any bad shots.
Resources: We have cameras and tripods. We will not need microphones because this is a music video and do not plan on using any of our own sounds. We have a small light we can use but will most likely not need it.
Script: There is no strict script. We will be shooting close ups of people and random people on the street. We will also be shooting inside and outside stores in Goshen. We will also be shooting from a car driving around and walking around. The lyrics talks about people in crowds and people smiling which will be shot and then edited to fit.
